Stryda Competitions

Stryda hosts various competitions like Ladders, Brawls, Tournaments, Scoreboards, Clan Events, and Missions. Players can win rewards such as coins, skins, gift cards, or cash. I've worked on most of these features, focusing on UI or UX as needed.

Contribution:

  • I've joined the world of competitions at Stryda as a UI designer. Over time, new competitions have been introduced, giving me the chance to explore the UX aspect wherever needed.
  • I've been collaborating with designers, product owners, and developers to find the best solutions for our users. Our goal is to keep them engaged with our product and excited about the experience of using Stryda.
  • My favorite part of the job is testing competition features almost daily to ensure they work as intended. Sometimes they work too well, but testing involves playing fun games with colleagues, checking the results, and maybe even bragging a bit afterward. Haha!

Contribution:

  • I've been involved in the design process of Ladders (previously known as Brawls) for nearly 2 years, during which time the user experience and visuals have undergone continuous evolution to reach their current state. I collaborated with a talented team including Ida Mannerstål, Augustin Hiebel, Simon Louaza, Tobias Holmgren, and Dimitar Tutkovski, each of us contributing to both new and existing features.
  • My responsibilities included various aspects of the Ladder system, such as homepage cards, Solo & Clan Leaderboards, headers, match activation cards, Leaderboards tables (expanded/collapsed features), results tables, player cards, modals, rewards and how it works pages, as well as battle pass and daily reward claims.
  • Additionally, for Clan Season, Ladder results modals & Scoreboards, I had the opportunity to explore deeper into the UX aspect while ensuring consistency with the overall Ladders design.
